Shift 4 has been supplying the Film & TV Industry in Greater London with equipment and crew rental for more than 30 years. Due to high demand, the company is now expanding its operations with the opening of a new branch in Manchester.
Located in the Trafford Park area, Shift 4 Manchester offers production companies and freelancers in the North West of England the same high standard, extra mile approach that helped us to become one of the biggest equipment rental companies in the UK.
With over fifty employees, an extensive inventory of equipment and a fleet of delivery and crew vehicles, Shift 4 is capable of handling any type of shoot, from drama and commercials to documentaries and entertainment.
The experience and knowledge gained over these many years means we not only offer our clients the right equipment but also support them throughout the hiring process with advice, technical support and equipment training.
A key factor for us opening the new branch has been finding local people who know and understand the industry in Manchester. We have been successful in this mission, recruiting some of the very best people in the rental market who bring years of experience and expertise.
MEET THE TEAM
 | RICH HALLWORTH Branch Manager After graduating in Film & TV Production from Manchester College, Rich worked as a freelancer on a number of feature films, Tv series, and commercials. Then for next 10 years, he worked in equipment rental in Manchester where he made his way up from kit room technician to Warehouse Manager, in 2019 he joined Shift 4 to become General Manager of our new branch. |
 | RAFAEL DA SILVA Kitroom Manager Raf first joined Shift 4 in 2017. Working in our London office, he gained hands on experience as one of the technicians responsible for the maintenance and preparation of our extensive range of equipment. Raf was our first recruit in Manchester and was instrumental in the organisation and set up of the branch. |
 | HANNAH LAHAN Account Manager After starting her career as an Apprentice in 2014, studying Business Administration for an Audio-Visual company, Hannah began her work in the Tv & Film Industry as a bookings coordinator for a Manchester based hire company, where she gained a vast amount of experience over 3 years, in April 2021 she joined Shift 4 Manchester as a skillful Account Manager |
 | GEORGE ROE Shift Manager George studied Television and Radio Production at the University of Salford which is where his passion for the technical side of TV grew. |
 | GEORGE BURRELL Senior Kitroom Tech After graduating from TV & Film Production at Staffordshire University in 2018, George joined Shift 4 London to pursue his passion for the film industry. |
